The scope of project included two additional state-of-the-art Stryker integrated operating theatres and ancillary support spaces; a 5-bed pre-op holding ward and a new day surgery entrance, reception and waiting areas. Other refurbished areas included various nurses’ stations, stage 2 recovery chairs, changing facilities and medical stores.

The design was organised in such a way as to enable two further theatres to be added in the future when capacity has been reached.
