Team 2 Architects was engaged by Health Infrastructure to design the AYAH in Manly. This pioneering facility, the first dedicated service of its kind in Australia, will accommodate people with life limiting illnesses and will offer 15–24-year-old patients respite care, symptom management and end of life care.
The spectacular site is located at North Head on the former Manly Hospital site and offers generous views of the harbour and bushland. The building has been carefully conceived in terms of its materiality and massing to provide a welcoming facility which will offer a calm, homely environment for patients and their families across the whole of NSW.
Team 2 Architects is delighted and humbled to have worked with the fantastically collaborative Manly team in the design and delivery of this project. It’s positive to see construction commencing.
